Sign Up Now to Play Next Tuesday!

We play every Tuesday and ask that you sign up by the Friday before to secure your tee time. You can sign up for the entire month at once or sign up weekly, whatever is convenient. Once you sign up, we will randomly assign you to a group, book tee times, and email you details.

We only have 20 spots available for golfers on a first-come, first-serve basis. After all the spots are taken, you will be placed on the standby list – we will do our best to secure more tee times if we can.

Once tee times are booked, we will post to our TEE TIMES page.

BFF Tournament - June 3rd & Pool Party - June 10th

Handicap is not required to play

Our next DGAS event will be the BFF (Best Friends Forever) Tournament & Pool Party. Tournament play will be June 3rd and Pool Party June 10th (awards day for tournament play).  We choose June 10th for the pool party, since the course will be closed for aerifying of the greens.  Our lovely host will be Maria Wheeler, Pat Reise and Susan Huefner; big round of applause for our host! The BFF tournament will be a two person alternate shot format, 18 hole play.  We really encourage everyone to sign up, it will be lots of fun for all golf skills sets and you get to play the back nine of the golf course, for those ladies that normally only play nine holes.  We choose alternate shot format to encourage  everyone to signup, this format is easy on the ladies that don't often play 18th holes, like myself.  Please sign up by May 6th, so that we have time to setup the golf pairings, secure tee times and have the score cards prepared by the pro shop.

BFF Tournament Entry Fee $5.00 (covers your lunch on June 10th (Pool Party) - Entry Fee due by June 3rd

Format/Rules:

  • Signup deadline May 6th
  • Entry Fee $5.00 (due by June 3rd)
  • Partners will be assigned to you (based on handicaps)
  • Partners will consist of DGAS ladies on our email distribution list.
  • Pairings list released on DGAS Website & Score cards handed out week of May 12th.
  • Tournament Play Tuesday May 27th, (rain date June 3rd), but you can play with your assigned partner anytime you like if you can't play with everyone on the 27th.
  • Tournament will be 18 holes in alternate shot format

2-person alternate shot:

Scorecard stroke allocations are 30% of your combined course handicap.

The first player tees off, the second player hits the second shot, the first player hits the third shot, and so on until the ball is holed. Tee shots are alternated so that the same player doesn't hit every drive.

If the ball is OB or lost, drop ball in the fairway not nearer the hole two club lengths from where it last crossed the out of bounds or is lost.  TWO STROKE PENALTY

If you swing and miss, count that stroke and turn the ball over to your partner, they will need to hit next.

After 9 Strokes pick up your ball and record the max of 9 for your gross score on that hole.

If there is a tie for 1st, 2nd or 3rd place, we will use hole 18 and 8 as the tie breakers.

REMEMBER TO USE YOUR “WHAT IF” CARDS

Looking forward to seeing everyone signup for loads of fun!

Your golf buddies and host,

Tina, Barbara, Pat Reise, Maria Wheeler and Susan Huefner
